NASA's Psyche mission has successfully executed a Mars flyby, leveraging the planet's gravity to alter its trajectory and gain speed. The Psyche spacecraft, now on its way to the main asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter, has successfully navigated the Mars flyby. The navigation team's precise trajectory calculations set the stage for the 2029 rendezvous with the asteroid Psyche. With the spacecraft in excellent condition, preparations are underway to resume sustained thrusting with the solar-electric propulsion system later this fall, marking another significant milestone in the mission's journey.
